ചേര്ത്തല ചള്ളിയില് ശങ്കുവിന്റെയും പെണ്ണുക്കയുടെയും മകനായി 1926-ൽ ജനനം. പ്രാഥമിക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസംനേടിയിരുന്നു. കയര്ഫാക്ടറിത്തൊഴിലാളി ആയിരുന്നു. പരമേശ്വരന്, കെ.കുമാരന്, ഗോവിന്ദന് തുടങ്ങയവര്ക്കൊപ്പമാണ് സമരത്തില് പങ്കെടുത്തത്. പിഇ7/46 നമ്പർ കേസിൽ പ്രതിയായി ആലപ്പുഴ സബ്ജയിലില് ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിച്ചു. 1964-നുശേഷം സിപിഐയില് പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു. 1991-ല് അന്തരിച്ചു. ഭാര്യ: പങ്കജാക്ഷി. മക്കള്: ചന്ദ്രിക, സ്വയംവരന്, പ്രകാശന്, പവനമ്മ, സുവര്ണ്ണ, ഐഷ.
