ആലപ്പുഴ വടക്ക് തോണ്ടംകുളങ്ങര കുറുപ്പങ്ങാടി ചിറയില് വീട്ടില് മൊയ്തീന്കുഞ്ഞിന്റെ മകനായി 1925-ല് ജനിച്ചു. പ്രാഥമിക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസംനേടിയിരുന്നു. ബീഡി തെറുപ്പ് തൊഴിലാളി ആയിരുന്നു. പുന്നപ്ര സമരത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായിപി.ഇ-7/1122 നമ്പര് കേസില് അറസ്റ്റിലായി. എട്ടുമാസം ആലപ്പുഴ ലോക്കപ്പിൽ തടവിലായി. വി.എസ്. അച്യുതാനന്ദൻ സഹതടവുകാരനായിരുന്നു. ലോക്കപ്പിൽവച്ച് പൊലീസിന്റെ ക്രൂരമർദ്ദനത്തിനിരയായി. കാലിന്റെ പാദം വെട്ടുകത്തിവച്ച് പൊലീസുകാർ അരിഞ്ഞതിനാൽ മുറിപ്പാട് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. വലതുകൈയിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഈ പാട് ആയിരുന്നു പെൻഷൻ ലഭിക്കാൻ അടയാളമായി നൽകിയത്. 1964-നുശേഷം സിപിഐയിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു. 2001 ജൂലൈ 12-ന് അന്തരിച്ചു.ഭാര്യ: അവ്വഉമ്മ. മകള്: സുഹറബീവി, സീനത്ത്, കുഞ്ഞുമോന്, നസീര്.
