ആലപ്പുഴ തെക്ക് കുതിരപ്പന്തി മുട്ടത്തുപറമ്പ് വീട്ടിൽ 1922-ൽ ജനനം. പ്രാഥമിക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം കയർ തൊഴിലാളി. പുന്നപ്ര പൊലീസ് ക്യാമ്പ് ആക്രമണത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു. പി.ഇ.7/1122 നമ്പർ കേസിൽ പ്രതിയായി. അറസ്റ്റ് വാറണ്ടിനെത്തുടർന്ന് ഒരുവർഷക്കാലം ഒളിവിൽ പോയി. പി.കെ. ചന്ദ്രാനന്ദനുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടാണ് ഈ കാലയളവിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിരുന്നത്. 1964-നുശേഷം സിപിഐ(എം)ൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.
