ആലപ്പുഴ വടക്ക് ആറാട്ടുവഴി വാർഡ് പുത്തൻപുരയ്ക്കൽ വീട്ടിൽ ജനനം. എമ്പയർ കയർ കമ്പനി തൊഴിലാളിയായിരുന്നു. പുന്നപ്ര പൊലീസ് ക്യാമ്പ് ആക്രമണത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു. ഇടതുകാലിനു മുട്ടിനു താഴെ പരിക്കുപറ്റി. തുടർന്ന് ഒളിവിൽ പോയി. 1948 നവംബറിൽ അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ട് ആലപ്പുഴ സബ് ജയിലിൽ വിചാരണ തടവുകാരനായി. ക്രൂരമർദ്ദനത്തിനിരയായി. 1949-ൽ ഒൻപതുമാസം ശിക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ട് തിരുവനന്തപുരം സെൻട്രൽ ജയിലിൽ തടവുകാരനായി. 1964-നുശേഷം സിപിഐ(എം)ൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.
