ആലപ്പുഴ എസ്.ഇ.കെ ഹൗസില് സുലൈമാന്-ഖദീജ ദമ്പതികളുടെ മകനായി 1916-ല് ജനിച്ചു. പ്രാഥമിക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസംനേടിയിരുന്നു. ആലപ്പി കയര് ഫാക്ടറി തൊഴിലാളി ആയിരുന്നു. പുന്നപ്ര-വയലാര് സമരത്തിൽ സജീവമായിരന്നു. തൃക്കുന്നപുഴയിലും ആറാട്ടുപുഴയിലും സമരത്തെ തുടര്ന്നു നിരവധി തവണ ഒളിവില് പോയെങ്കിലും ഒടുവിൽ അറസ്റ്റിലായി. തിരുവനന്തപുരം സെന്ട്രല് ജയിലില് തടിവില് കഴിഞ്ഞു. പൊലീസിന്റെ ക്രൂരമർദ്ദനത്തിനിരയായി. 1964-നുശേഷം സിപിഐ(എം)ൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു. സി.പി.ഐ(എം) പവര്ഹൗസ് ബ്രാഞ്ച് സെക്രട്ടറിയുമായിരുന്നു. 2001-ല് അന്തരിച്ചു. ഭാര്യ: സുലേഖ. മക്കള്: റഫ്മാബീവി, റഷീദ്, റുഖിയാബീവി, രാജു, സുഹറ ഇക്ബാല്, ഷംസുമ്മ, കമറുദ്ദീന്.
